Expo & Irish Feis planned for September 8

Emish Rocks the Irish Fest

The annual 'Shop in Your Neighborhood' Expo is planned for Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 1-5 p.m. in Cazenovia Park. The Expo is an excellent opportunity for businesses, organizations, and schools to share information about their product or service. The event is held alongside Goin' South's Irish Feis, a daylong outdoor celebration of live Irish music. South Buffalo Alive's 12'th Annual Garden Walk

South Buffalo Alive's 12th Annual Garden Tour will be held on Sunday July 15, 2012, from 9am until 3pm. This is your opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful and interesting gardens in South Buffalo, and experience the creativity of the gardeners.

"We are very proud to be a part of the National Garden Walk being held in the City and many of our surrounding villages and towns. Watch for the sidewalk billboards at participating gardens."

Draft Land Use Plan South Buffalo Meeting

The community, public and stakeholders are invited to the Buffalo Green Code Draft Future Land Use Plan meeting on December 14th at 6:30 pm at the Tosh Collins Community Center, to learn about the Buffalo Green Code initiative, what the Draft Plan proposes in South Buffalo and to share insight and feedback about the Draft Plan and land use issues South Buffalo. The Draft Land Use Plan is available on the web at www.buffalogreencode.com. The City of Buffalo is creating a “Green Code” to guide the rebuilding of our city for the next twenty years and beyond.

Parade of Circles planned for June 5

The annual Parade of Circles is planned for Sunday, June 5th on McKinley Parkway.

Hundreds of marchers from schools, community organizations, and businesses plan to participate in the 9th annual Parade of Circles on Sunday, June 5th on McKinley Parkway in South Buffalo at 2:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend this popular event, which highlights the historic Olmsted park system and helps to kick off the summer season.

Sister Celeste O’Bryan of the South Buffalo Community Table will be the honorary grand marshal.

South Buffalo Community Table Fundraiser

Since 1983, Sister Celeste O'Bryan, a Sister of Mercy, has managed the South Buffalo Community Table on Southside Parkway. 

The Community Table, located in the basement of the Good Sheperd Baptist Church, is a ministry which prepares and serves dinner six nights a week, averaging over 17,000 meals a year.
